Robinsons Land is creating more ways for Filipinos to move, play, and come together through Robinsons Sports and Leisure (RSL), its newest business unit focused on active recreation, leisure, and entertainment experiences for Filipino communities.

RSL builds on Robinsons Land’s experience in developing spaces where people live, work, shop, stay, and gather. From sports facilities to leisure and entertainment formats, the new business unit aims to create experiences that fit into everyday routines, giving people more reasons to gather, stay active, recharge, and build healthier habits.

“Robinsons Sports and Leisure reflects how we see the next evolution of community-building,” said Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio, President and CEO of Robinsons Land. “Filipinos need spaces where they can move, recharge, spend time with others, and build healthier routines. With RSL, we want to support experiences that fit into real life while encouraging discipline, confidence, and connection.”

One example of this direction is Robinsons Land’s continuing support for the Leyte Association of Organized Sports Football Club, or LAOS FC, a grassroots and youth development football platform that helps young athletes grow through structured training, competition, and international exposure.

The relationship also builds on Robinsons Land’s presence in Leyte, particularly in Tacloban City, where its malls and hotels serve local communities and visitors. This local connection gives the company’s support for LAOS FC added meaning, linking the club’s youth development work with Robinsons Land’s long-standing ties to the province.

Over the years, Robinsons Land has supported LAOS FC through funding that helps cover logistics and other program needs, including uniforms, travel support, training and venue requirements, facilities, and equipment. With the creation of RSL, this continuing commitment becomes part of a more focused effort to advance initiatives that help Filipino talent and local communities grow.

That support will help bring LAOS FC to a wider stage in 2026, when the club sends both boys’ and girls’ teams to the Norway Cup in Oslo. The teams will compete in the Under-19 category, with each squad having 16 players, supported by a head coach, assistant coach, goalkeeping coach, physiotherapist, and team doctor.

“Sports and leisure can play an important role in youth development because they build habits that stay with young people beyond competition,” said Ramon Rivero, Robinsons Land Chief Strategist and Business Unit General Manager of Robinsons Sports and Leisure. “Our work with LAOS FC reflects the kind of initiatives we want RSL to support: efforts built with care, purpose, and a clear focus on giving young Filipinos access to training, competition, and experiences that help them grow on and off the field.”

The teams’ participation in Norway Cup 2026 gives Filipino youth athletes exposure to international competition and cultural exchange. It also shows how sustained backing can help young players prepare for bigger opportunities with confidence, discipline, and pride.

For LAOS FC’s young athletes, many of whom are balancing academics and competitive football at institutions such as Ateneo de Manila University, the University of Santo Tomas, Miriam College High School, and the University of the East, the Norway Cup offers a chance to learn, compete, and represent their communities on a global stage.

Beyond supporting athletes and teams, RSL is also developing spaces where active communities can take shape. As the business unit grows, Robinsons Land is building venues that bring new sports and lifestyle experiences into its destination estates. Among its key projects is Helios Pickleball Center in Bridgetowne, Pasig City, one of Robinsons Land’s destination estates shaped by its Live-Work-Play-Inspire approach. The eight-story sports and lifestyle facility, being developed with Kosmas Athletic Ventures Corp., is designed with tournament-grade courts, retail, and food and beverage spaces.

From LAOS FC’s road to Norway to new sports, leisure, and entertainment destinations, RSL brings together Robinsons Land’s support for Filipino talent with its experience in creating places that open new opportunities and bring communities together.
