In celebration of National Arts Month, Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) will be embarking on two major events to mark this milestone: the formal launch of ARTablado (art + entablado) and the one-man exhibit of Angono’s pride Carlo “Totong” Francisco II which will all be held from February 1 to 15 in Robinsons Galleria.
As the country’s leading property developer, RLC speaks the language of art with its beautiful and well-designed properties and developments. Thus, the inception of ARTablado which sets the platform to empower and showcase the ingenuity of Filipino artistry. Regular patrons of Robinsons Galleria will be able to view not only paintings in ARTablado but other forms of art, be it sculptures, the spoken word and others.
And as we celebrate National Arts Month this February, ARTablado proudly presents “Revival”, the one-man exhibit of Carlos “Totong” Francisco II, an artist from the art capital of the Philippines, Angono Rizal and the grandson of the renowned muralist and National Artist, Carlos “Botong” Francisco”. What differs him from Botong is his subject of painting. Taking after his grandfather’s talent, he has searched for his personal style and became deeply influenced by Abstract Expressionism. This will be Totong’s first solo exhibit since 2011.
“Revival” will showcase a collection of subjects about nature that speaks of life, hope, freedom, new beginnings, prosperity, love, and beauty. And for the first time, some of the most cherished art pieces such as framed sketches of Botong Francisco will be displayed in Robinsons Galleria to inspire succeeding generations of local artists.
“Revival” exhibit will run from February 1 until February 15 at the Level 3, Veranda of Robinsons Galleria.
