For the furtherance of its community projects and other CSR activities, Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) incorporated its very own foundation, Robinsons Land Foundation, Inc. (RLFI) in 2020. RLFI’s social welfare programs are focused on supporting disaster response, community development, health & nutrition, and child welfare & education. In December 2022, RLFI successfully acquired its Certificate of Accreditation from the Philippine Council for Non-Government Organization Certification (PCNC), making RLFI a certified NGO under PCNC’s stringent standards on legitimacy, good governance, transparency, accountability, and quality service.

RLove Program

The RLove Program spearheads various social welfare and advocacy projects through philanthropy, volunteerism, and partnerships. It supports meaningful causes in pursuit of enriching lives and shaping a better future for communities in which Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) operates.

Employee volunteerism and engagement are at the core of the RLove Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) model. Time, skills, and material resources are shared as a concrete expression of the commitment to uplift communities and to initiate transformative social change. Over 2,000 volunteer hours were rendered to handle the work required to successfully implement its projects. To expand its reach and maximize the impact of its efforts, RLove also partnered with LGUs, local and international civil society organizations, government agencies, associations, cooperatives, and various other groups.

In 2022, the RLove program extended aid and assistance to 183 partner beneficiary groups.

Disaster Response

In times of crises that impact jobs and livelihoods, immediate aid and support make a huge difference in alleviating the plight of disadvantaged populations. Last year, the RLove program actively took part in extending emergency assistance to address the most urgent humanitarian needs in light of natural calamities

In 2022, a total of 18 relief operations were organized in coordination with both local and provincial government units. Through the support of Robinsons Malls, we were able to provide affected communities with over 8,000 relief packs and emergency assistance in the aftermath of Typhoons Agaton, Karding, Neneng, and Paeng, as well as the fire incident that happened at Brgy. Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

During calamities various Robinsons Malls took its part by providing free parking, charging, and WiFi stations for stranded individuals.

Health and Nutrition

The COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the importance of maintaining good health and nutrition more than ever. As communities slowly recovered from the effects of the pandemic, RLove launched several initiatives to provide much needed support and assistance to the most vulnerable communities. In 2022, RLove launched school-year-long Feeding Programs for over 100 malnourished students of City Gates Academy Antipolo and Ilugin Elementary School Pasig, in partnership with Giving Hope Foundation and Thrive. This program aims to fill the nutrition gap and provide “brain power” to students to encourage better attendance and participation in school.

Furthermore, in support of RLFI’s mental health awareness campaign, Robinsons Place Valencia, in partnership with Halad to Health, opened a safe space booth to provide free mental health consultations to mall-goers. This initiative targeted to make mental health support more accessible to the community, especially to individuals dealing with depression, bullying, suicidal thoughts, teenage pregnancy, stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

In pursuit of improving customer experience through technology, RLC Residences is developing the My RLC Home Super App, the first all-in-one mobile application for residential communities. Slated for official launch in the middle of 2023, the platform seeks to deliver convenience and seamless service to property buyers from purchase to move-in.

RLove also acknowledges the importance of a bright and pleasant environment in the promotion of health and well-being. In this light, RLove partnered with Boysen Paint Philippines for a rehabilitation activity in “Bahay Aruga” in Ermita, Manila. Volunteers from Robinsons Hotels & Resorts repainted the bedroom walls of indigent pediatric cancer patients at the Philippine General Hospital with fun and colorful designs that boost the mood and improve disposition.

Child Welfare and Education

The youth determine the future of a nation, and education is a powerful driver of our children’s development. In 2022, RLove took part in initiatives to provide learning opportunities and support child welfare.

In anticipation of the reopening of face-to-face classes after the pandemic, RLove supported DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela and reached out to 31 schools nationwide. Beneficiary schools were equipped with cleaning and painting materials, sanitation equipment, furniture, and school supplies. Volunteers actively participated in the cleaning and painting activities in preparation for the opening of classes.

RLove, through RL Commercial REIT, Inc. (RCR), also donated learning and reading materials to over 100 Kinder to Grade 3 students of Ilaya Barangka Integrated School in Mandaluyong City, as part of DepEd’s “Brigada Pagbasa.” Book-reading sessions were also facilitated for the students.

Before the year closed, over 800 children received gifts and enjoyed fun activities with RLC employees. Robinsons Malls, Robinsons Hotels & Resorts, and Robinsons Homes came together to spread holiday cheer with gift-giving initiatives for various child welfare organizations.

Special Advocacies

In addition to its core advocacies, Robinsons Land promotes responsible pet ownership and supports the development of local creative talent through Happy Pets Club and ArTablado, respectively.

Happy Pets Club

Since its inception in 2015, the Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club has continued to be a growing community of animal lovers and responsible pet owners. There are now thousands of Happy Pets Club members nationwide.

Happy Pets Club aims to strengthen responsible pet ownership, alleviate discrimination against aspins and puspins, and support local government units in implementing animal care services. In 2022, it launched four (4) initiatives to improve animal welfare. These include The Gift of Furever Home, a pet adoption activity that achieved a 91% adoption rate; Snip 'en Snap, a free pet spay and neuter service that benefitted more than 50 animals; Pet Konsulta, a free veterinary consultation project that helped more than 200 pet owners; and Pet Bakuna, a rabies vaccination drive that vaccinated 300 pets against rabies and dewormed 50 pets. These activities were successfully rolled out to various pet communities in Metro Manila, in partnership with two animal welfare groups — Animal Kingdom Foundation and Pawssion Project.

Aside from these, Robinsons Metro East celebrated the World Animal Day by sponsoring a shelter animal named Hailey, a stray dog that was rescued from a pound by Pawssion Project. Through the sponsorship of Robinsons Metro East, Hailey will be provided with food, shelter, medicine, professional care, and rehabilitation for one whole year.

ARTablado

Established in 2020, Robinsons Land's ARTablado is an effort to showcase the best in Philippine art by providing a platform for creative artists to reach a wider audience. In line with this, ARrTablado holds regular exhibits in select Robinsons malls.

In 2022, ARTablado hosted over 34 exhibits that featured the work of over 480 artists. Some of the notable group exhibits include the showcase of artists from Quezon Province and a line-up of all-female artists. It also staged solo shows for Paris-based Filipino contemporary artist Migs Salazar, ARTablado CREATE Painting Competition winner Ambrocio Mallari, and Luis Ac-ac who led an exhibit for the benefit of artists and art organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

ARTablado's biggest fundraising exhibit in 2022 was entitled ARTiPARC: Shapes, Shades, and Stories. It championed the positive transformation of Filipino society through art as a medium. Proceeds from the artworks sold during the show were donated to the PARCaralan Scholars program, which assists underprivileged children and youth.
