Robinsons Malls recently forged a partnership with Bonsai and Suiseki Alliance of the Philippines (BSAPI), the biggest bonsai club in the Philippines together with its affiliates and partners.

This was formalized during the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Robinsons Malls and BSAPI with partners

This partnership aims to help promote the  awareness campaign for nature conservation and sustainable environmental practices  which involves tree planting events in denuded mountains, deputization of forest guardian volunteers, pro-earth livelihood programs (bonsai farming, pot making, woodcrafts, wire arts, etc); fruit seeds collection campaign; and other developmental projects.

A series of bonsai and suiseki (viewing stones) Shows will be held in all Robinsons Malls nationwide.

BSAPI has 68 affiliated provincial, city and town bonsai clubs and five partner national clubs - Bonsai Institute of the Phils (BIP), Phil Alliance of Bonsai and Suiseki Clubs, Inc. (PABSCI), BonScience (Bonsai Science Research Group), Phil Alliance of Viewing Stones Collectors (PAVSC), and Pinoy Tropical Bonsai.

Fifty-two (52) Robinsons Malls nationwide will be the stage for these forthcoming bonsai shows, aimed at raising the environmental awareness of the public.

Ms. Letty Ligon, President and Co-Founder of BSAPI expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Robinsons, for being a welcoming big brother for a common goal. "Bonsai clubs are nurturing young trees in pots, in which we put hard work on them for decades, to make them look like very very old trees.” Ms Ligon added that these are the samplers of nature's beauty which we show to the public through exhibits and competitions. “Because how can someone love something that he/she has never seen?" Ligon said.
