Robinsons Place Palawan, the first and largest full service mall in the province of Palawan, continues to further strengthen its commitment to community relations by donating over 700 life vests to be used for touring the Puerto Princesa Underground River. Known for its untouched and natural beauty beyond compare, the Puerto Princesa Underground River became a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was part of the “New 7 Wonders of Nature” in 2012. The 8.2-kilometer river, said to be the longest navigable underground river in the world, winds its way underneath a mountain range, through the St. Paul Underground River Cave, and then goes out into the South China Sea. The Underground River continues to attract numerous attention from both locals and tourists for its stunning mineral formations. In the first half of 2017, over 200,000 visitors from all parts of the world booked tours to experience the wonders of journeying through its caves. This number is expected to double come the holiday season.
With the increasing popularity of the Puerto Princesa Underground River, the newly-donated life vests from the Palawan-based team of Robinsons Malls will be very useful in accommodating the tourists who frequent the place. The vests will help provide ease and comfort to the user and will also assure the safety of the visitors as they tour the amazing subterranean waterway. The Puerto Princessa Underground River is a short drive away from Robinsons Place Palawan.
