Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) “RLove” Corporate Social Responsibility Program through its Robinsons Town Mall Malabon supports Malabon City Mayor’s Office Malnutrition Intervention Program. For over 18 years, the city of Malabon has remained in the top 3 with the worst case of underweight children in NCR. Spearheaded by City Nutrition Action Officer Ms. Melissa S. Oreta, the Mayor’s office has recently initiated a full cycle of 120 days feeding program to 3 identified barangays with high cases of underweight children ages 0-4years old. Robinsons Town Mall Malabon partnered with the City of Malabon for the pilot of the supplemental feeding program by month-long sponsorship of the feeding program in Barangay Catmon, Malabon, where the initiative was launched. There were 100 underweight and severely underweight children from Brgy. Catmon enrolled in the intervention who were weekly monitored and upon graduation in December 2016, 98% reached the normal weight category. Aside from the sponsorship provided by RLC, employees from the company took time to volunteer during the commencement of the collaboration by organizing games for the children and their parents, assisting in food preparation and distribution and providing supplemental vitamins to the children. “Through philanthropy, volunteerism and partnerships we are committed to supporting people and causes creating a better future for communities where we are present.
