A dazzling, colorful Christmas awaits shoppers at Robinsons Galleria this Yuletide season.
On November 9, Robinsons Galleria comes alive throughout November and December as it kicks off the holiday spirit with an awe-inspiring decor, a slew of musical performances and the much-awaited lighting of Galleria’s signature Christmas Tree.
Standing 32-feet, Robinsons Galleria’s gigantic Christmas tree breaks the tradition of a normal garland tree. It is a special custom made tree manufactured in Europe which echoes grace and elegance making it a perfect background for an Instagram-worthy moment with family and friends. Intricate ornaments are also customized to match the tree’s theme. Completing it are the "patent LED" Christmas lights that illuminate high end establishments all over the world.

To complete the festive mood, Robinsons Galleria will be inviting the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth – a 68- piece ensemble of young musicians – to serenade the mall goers and shoppers with their extensive repertoire of music by well-known composers from around the world.
Performing under the baton of Venezuelan conductor, Joshua Dos Santos, the orchestra will play Classical pieces which include Giuseppe Verdi’s “Nabucco Overture”, Oscar Fernandez’s “Batuque”, an excerpt from Manuel Penella’s Opera titled “El Ganto Montes”, Herrero y Armenteros’ “Venezuela”, Arturo Marquez’s “Danzon No. 2”, Johann Strauss’ “Pizzicato Polka”, Yuzo Toyama’s “Rhapsody for Orchestra”, Eugenio Toussaint’s “Mambo” as well as the well-beloved OPM love songs and Christmas songs including Rey Valera’s “Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko” and Ryan Cayabyab’s “Kumukutikutitap” and “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika”.
The Orchestra of the Filipino Youth, the performing arm of Ang Misyon Inc., (AMI), is inspired by Venezuela’s “El Sistema” that provides free music lessons to children of disadvantaged families. The scholars are mostly children aged 9 to 24. The Orchestra of the Filipino Youth has already performed in various venues in Metro Manila and in the provinces. They also reached the international scene as they performed in Malaysia and the United States. Their latest achievement include holding a concert at the iconic Qatar National Library and at the opulent Katara Opera House late this October.
