Robinsons Malls Envisions Green City Malling with Robinsons Place Tagum

Leading mall developer, Robinsons Malls, is building a premium shopping center at Davao Del Norte’s capital city of Tagum, named by the Asian Institute of Management as one of the seven leading cities to do business in the Philippines. Already the developer’s fourth mall in Mindanao, Robinsons Place Tagum is being constructed at the city’s National Highway, in an area close to residential subdivisions, universities, hospitals, as well as corporate and government centers. Robinsons Malls has commissioned acclaimed architecture firm Jonathan O. Gan Associates to design Robinsons Place Tagum that is attuned to the city’s verdant environs. It has thus integrated green spaces at the mall’s interiors and exteriors, and incorporated environment-friendly features such as organic tiles on walkways, clerestory windows that invite natural sunlight, and an airy ambience that maximizes air-conditioning. It has also ensured mallers’ convenience and pleasurable experience by including ample parking spaces, accessible public transport terminals and safe pedestrian walkways.

Robinsons Place Tagum will be anchored by retail giants, Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Appliances and Handyman, and will feature over 200 popular international and national brands, as well as the region’s local retailers. It will have an al fresco dining area which will be home to numerous restaurants and bars in landscaped perimeters. Inside, a food court will house various fast-service outlets and novel dining concepts that will also be surrounded by pocket gardens.

To complete the modern malling experience, Robinsons Place Tagum will have an amusement center as well as state-of-the-art cinemas that include a 3D theater by Robinsons Movieworld.
