ROBINSONS LAND CORPORATION (RLC) PARTNERS WITH LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT AUTHORITY (LRTA) FOR THE BENEFIT OF LRTA PASSENGERS AND ROBINSONS MALLS PATRONS
Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Light and Railway Transit Authority (LRTA) for the construction of lay-bay and interconnection access facilities in Robinsons Metro East located along Marcos Highway, Pasig City. Currently, LRTA is undertaking the construction and completion of Line 2 East Extension Project which aims to serve the growing populace farther east and will extend the existing 13.8 kilometer LRT 2 line (Recto - Santolan) System to Masinag in Antipolo City. This will connect Robinsons Metro East to Line 2 and is expected to ferry an additional 75,000 passengers per year when it commences operation in the 2nd quarter of 2017. RLC will also undertake the construction of a lay bay that will enable public utility vehicles to load and unload passengers in the area thereby facilitating seamless vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the LRT 2 East Extension Line.
