Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) teamed up with TV Patrol and Handyman in donating 27 wall fans to Tinajeros Elementary School last May 15, 2017 at Robinsons Town Mall Malabon. Present during the turn-over was Mr. Darwin Renolayan, Regional Operations Manager of Robinsons Galleria and Robinsons Town Mall Malabon and Ms. Bernadette Sembrano of TV Patrol. Receiving the donations on behalf of the school is Ms. Rosalie Cabanilla, Principal of Tinajeros Elementary School, who was close to tears as she expressed her gratitude to RLC and TV Patrol. The 27 new wall fans will be installed in the classrooms to give the students a more comfortable place to study in. Aside from the new wall fans in the classroom, the teachers and parents of the students at Tinajeros Elementary School joined together as they repaired and cleaned the classrooms of the school during the annual “Brigada Eskwela” in preparation for the new school year this coming June. Meanwhile, mall-goers of Robinsons Town Mall Malabon attended the Disaster Preparedness Seminar led by Mr. Jeffrey Perez of PHIVOLCS with Mr. Gerard Natividad of Energy Development Corporation as they discussed the DOS and DON’TS during an earthquake. Local Government Units also joined in the discussion presenting some equipment they use during rescue operations. They also gave their own instruction to the residents such as the list of possible evacuation areas near their homes. They also gave out disaster preparedness kits to encourage everyone to be more prepared in case a calamity strikes.
The Livelihood Training headed by Engr. Beato Griarte, on the other hand, shared an alternative way of earning an income by making an effective dishwashing liquid at home using simple ingredients. The seminar ended by giving away starter kits containing the “how-to” in chocolate molding and in making dishwashing liquid and cake pops.
