Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR), the hospitality arm of Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), is expanding its Grand Summit portfolio to Bohol with a new upscale hotel in Panglao, one of the country’s most distinctive island destinations.

Grand Summit Bohol will be developed in Doljo, Panglao, around 20 minutes from the Bohol-Panglao International Airport. The project will break ground in the second quarter of 2026 and is scheduled to open in 2028.

“Bohol offers the Grand Summit brand a destination with a wider range of experiences, from Panglao’s coastline to natural landmarks such as the Chocolate Hills, tarsier sanctuaries, and marine attraction,” shares Barun Jolly, Robinsons Land’s Senior Vice -President and Business Unit General Manager, RHR.  Mr. Jolly adds that the province is also recognized as the Philippines’ first UNESCO Global Geopark, while its recently expanded airport capacity and more direct international flights continue to improve access for local and foreign travelers.

With Grand Summit Bohol, RHR is shaping an upscale hotel experience that combines leisure, family stays, business gatherings, and destination events, supported by the consistency of an established hospitality group and the local character travelers expect from Bohol.

Grand Summit Bohol will feature over 200 guest rooms and suites, with all rooms designed with balconies and views of the ocean or pool. The hotel will include dining outlets, a grand ballroom, meeting rooms, wellness and family amenities, and guest conveniences such as a self-check-in kiosk a signature initiative of RHR. Its architecture will feature an ocean wave-inspired façade, with solar power and smart technology integrated into the property.

“Grand Summit Bohol is defined by its location on 7,737 square meters of prime beachfront property, with ocean views and spaces designed for both leisure and meaningful gatherings,” shares Mr. Jolly, “It is envisioned as a lifestyle destination with premium meeting and social venues and a refined family sanctuary for different types of travelers, bringing together global standards, local culture, Filipino warmth, and the unique identity of Grand Summit.”

“Grand Summit Bohol responds to what we see in Panglao: a need for branded upscale accommodations that international travelers and corporate groups can trust, without losing the warmth and local essence that make Bohol special,” said Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio, President and CEO of Robinsons Land. “By bringing upscale accommodations and MICE facilities to Bohol, we hope to support tourism that goes beyond leisure, from meetings and corporate travel to destination events, while creating jobs, supporting local businesses, and helping ensure that tourism growth benefits the wider community.”

Grand Summit Bohol is one of the key projects in RHR’s next phase of growth, strengthening its presence in major tourism destinations while supporting its broader goal of expanding in both leisure and business travel markets across the country. RHR today operates 30 hotels and resorts with over 5,000 room keys across 20 cities and municipalities. By 2030, it aims to grow to 37 properties and more than 6,400 room keys.
