LGUs are now gearing up for the government’s roll out initiatives for COVID-19 Vaccination.
Two cities, the City of Imus and the City of Tuguegarao have partnered with Robinsons Malls to smoothly conduct these simulation activities.
The Imus City Government conducted a full simulation of its COVID-19 drive-thru vaccination process in partnership with Robinsons Malls at the Multi-level Parking Area of Robinsons Place Imus.
Imus City Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi conceptualized the idea of a drive-thru vaccination to provide the community a convenient yet safe location to get inoculated.
There will be four (4) steps to be followed for the vaccination; (1) Pre-registration using the UBE Express App; (2) Registration, counseling and consent, and screening; (3) Vaccination proper; and then (4) Monitoring.
Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) gave the green light on this concept of drive-thru vaccination and will officially start in Robinsons Place Imus on March 18, 2021.
For the people of Northeastern Luzon, Robinsons Place Tuguegarao has also conducted a simulation for the mall vaccination program. Over 60 volunteers and 130 health workers and LGU staff participated in the activity. The vaccination simulation was conducted ahead of the expected arrival of the COVID-19 jabs but assigned barangays of the city can avail the vaccination program at the mall.
The following steps were properly demonstrated during the simulation: registration, counseling, screening, vaccination, and post vaccination monitoring.
The city government together with Robinsons Malls aims to determine ways on how to make the planned vaccination process more efficient through this full simulation exercise while waiting for the arrival of the vaccines.
